The 22nd Annual Law Day for Seniors event was held at the Wabash District Court. Approximately 250 seniors from all over Baltimore City attended Law Day, which took place on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler provided opening remarks. The event featured seminars on What To Do When a Loved One Dies and Landlord/Tenant Issues Facing Senior Citizens. After these substantive law sessions, lunch, and a Medicare update, a panel of experienced attorneys has a question and answer session in which the seniors obtained further legal information. There was also “Benefits Check Up” and many resource/referral materials, plus vendors such as the Baltimore City Health Department: CARE Services, the Baltimore City Fire and Police Departments, the Maryland Transportation Administration, and the AARP Experience Corps.
